This Friday is Earth Day and we wanted to use this month’s wellness update to encourage you to consider your environmental wellness. Below are a few tips for taking care of your home and community, which will ultimately support our planet
Your Home
- Set up for Success – Part of environmental wellness is making sure the space you live and work in is set up in a way that prioritizes comfort and happiness.
- Follow best practices – Practice the 5 R’s of sustainability, doing your best to Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot.
- Conserve Energy – Evaluate your energy usage. Unplug and turn off when you can. If you’re in need of an appliance upgrade, make sure you choose an energy-efficient option.

- Volunteer – Offer your time to help out in your community. Clean up a public space, plant a tree or garden, or spend time with an organization that positively impacts the people and places around you.
- Donate – Support an organization that gives back to the environment and your community.
- Engage – Take part in community activities and encourage others to enjoy and take care of local resources.
